This multi-phase project includes construction of three separate classroom buildings to replace existing structures on campus as well as remodeling and additions to the Campus Center Cafeteria and School Library. These projects will add a total of over 37,000 gross square feet of new classroom and support space as well as campus site improvements to Overlake’s rural campus. The design of these projects requires sensitivity to the complexities of Overlake’s program as well as the complexities of the existing physical campus on a sloping site with multiple wetlands. Proposed sustainability features include a vegetated green roof, storm water catchment system, reclaimed/recycled materials and efficiency exceeding code requirements for mechanical systems and building envelope. |
