CLIENT: Washington State Department of Health

Johnson+Southerland worked in association with the engineering firm HDR in developing a 25-year vision plan for the Department of Health's laboratory facility in Shoreline, Washington. The scope included reviewing, assessing and proposing upgrades to the existing facility and building system, developing a needs assessment analysis of the existing services, envisioning the future of public health, and developing plans and budgets for possible future building projects. The scope of the project also included working with the City of Shoreline in developing a Planned Development overlay zone for the existing site to provide appropriate development standards for future projects as well as working with other State Departments that share the Fircrest Campus on land apportioning issues.
