Johnson Southerland

Johnson+Southerland combines the expertise and passions of Maggi Johnson, landscape architect and Steve Southerland, architect. Maggi has been the owner of M.E.J. Landscape Architecture (MEJLA) for the last nine years, collaborating frequently with the Miller Hull Partnership where Steve was a principle architect. Steve recently started his own firm, SRS Architects, and then joined forces with Maggi to form Jonson+Southerland. Our core mission is to help create better relationships between people and nature, which can begin as humbly as making a comfortable place to sit outside. We collaborate at a fundamental level -- synthesizing buildings with the landscape to create a healthy whole place for human activity.
